God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as Light

(Against General Hatred for Other Humans)

A Spiritual Meditation

Those who have experienced a near-death experience claim to have gone to the light at the end of the tunnel.  In the Bible, God is described as a burning bush (a form of light - today, maybe a spotlight) and Jesus is described as the "light of the world."  Also, God and Jesus are described as light so bright that the sun pales in comparison.  Just read the transfiguration story in the Gospels, or read about Paul's conversion in the book of Acts, and you'll see Jesus described as so bright as to blind a person.

White light is the brightest and truest of all lights.  White light reveals more details as a whole than any other single color light can alone.  White light is comprised of all the colors of the rainbow- just put white light through a prism and you'll see for yourself as it breaks the light into its constituent colors (infrared, red, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, etc).  .The people of the world would shine so bright if everyone would learn to disregard the color of a person's skin or a person's nationality, sexual preference, material wealth, intellect, or lifestyle (so long as it does not bring harm to other living beings of any kind), in their dealings with them.

I think this knowledge of the true colors that make up white light needs to be applied to humanity as a whole, so humanity realizes that ALL mankind is precious and necessary...as precious and as necessary as ourselves.  This is the kind of behavioral rule-of-thumb we have to follow to make living and getting by in this world easier to cope with in times of stress and more enjoyable in times of peace.  Remember, the Bible tells us God so loved the world (the entire world) that he gave his only son's innocent life to save the world.

Addendum: 04/11/06:  Guess what else is described as light...you are!  According to Chinese medicine and Eastern religions, we as humans have 7 centers or wheels of life-force known as chakras (the link will open a window to a page telling you more about chakras than most books do, but in one lengthy page....quite detailed, includes photos, some of which I will include here)... (the following borrowed from the page from the link)

CHAKRAS

Chakra means Wheel in Sanskrit.

The body has spinning energy centers that look like spinning wheels and are called, Chakras.

As with all things in our reality, they are linked to sound, light and color.

To heal, is to bring the chakras into alignment and balance

then understand the nature of creation and your purpose in it.

Notice how in the next few pictures, the prana or life-force enters the lower body, ascends and empowering or strengthening the chakras, and exits the head returning to the source, the Divine...aka God Almighty... Then, consider our symbols for modern medicine (you see it on ambulances all the time...there'll be a picture below)

KUNDALINI

Snake symbolgy - DNA - Dragons, Snakes, etc.

Now, the symbol for modern medicine...the Caduceus Symbol:  Excerpt:

"The symbol's origins are thought to date to as early as 2600 BC in Mesopotamia, and there are several references to a caduceus-like symbol in the Bible, namely in Numbers 21:4–9, and 2 Kings 18:4. During the Exodus, Moses was instructed by God to fashion a pole upon which he was to position a serpent made of bronze; when looked upon, this Nehushtan, as it was called in Hebrew, would spare the lives of the Israelites stricken by venomous snake bites. The intent was that people would look upward and be reminded to pray to God, but eventually the meaning was forgotten and this symbol was apparently worshiped by the Hebrew people until the reign of Hezekiah as described in 2 Kings 18:4."
